Cool Lipo Laser Procedure – The Newest Innovation in Liposuction
The new liposuction procedure, Cool Lipo, is performed in your physician's office. You may be awake during the entire process or your physician may prescribe a sedative before the using the Cool Lipo laser.
After the area to be treated by this state-of-the-art, new liposuction procedure is anesthetized, an incision is made through the skin and a small cannula (wand-like apparatus that contains the laser fiber) is inserted into the treatment area. The cannula/laser fiber makes contact with the fat under the skin as the physician maneuvers it. The fat is broken up and liquefied by the Cool Lipo laser energy, and a syringe or micro-cannula is used to remove the fat.
When this safe and effective new liposuction procedure is finished, a steri-strip is applied to the small incision(s). Then the treated area is wrapped with a compression bandage to prevent swelling.
